It's the day after Yuya's been sent to the hospital. Geo's not even supposed to be working today and should be out dueling, but he's sitting at Flamvell, with a drink he hasn't even touched, scrolling through his phone and looking like he's trying to glare hard enough it'll catch on fire.

"I just figured that if there was something to be worried about, Trenda'd probably figure it out. Or Cyril.

And Cyril, kinda... Dropped a not so subtle hint to me and Suguru about his suspicions. On you."

So, uh. Got a little story."

He rubs the top of his head a bit.

"If, uh. Hypothetically, there's a kid who's got a sister quite a bit older than them, and she married a thug with a bar and grill... And this kid managed to bend the laws of space/time a little and was visiting their now not quite so distant in age sister's place every day...

The kid should know that they're family, regardless of time messes and can talk ta the thug and the sister about literally anything and they'd figure out a way ta help, no matter the situation.

And that the thug and the sister have waded through weirder bullshit than this while they were in high school and nothing would surprise them at this point."

... Say, hypothetically, there was a kid like that. What if, possibly, he didn't even know why he was doing that? Bending the laws of space and time.

He sighs.

"Did the kid fall in with the wrong crowd in his chrome and shiny space future? Or does he just not have the same justifications as his themed friends?"

... Let's go with "justifications", for the sake of this story. Or more that... he thinks he doesn't have the same justifications. But everyone else he knows. They think that he does, even if he can't see it.

And... maybe it's kinda bothersome, for that kid.

"The kid needs ta learn that just because his justifications aren't the same as his buddies, they think they might be and... Well, the kid's here with his friends. Making new ones.

And has shots at things maybe he doesn't have where he comes from. And if he can't see these justifications, they either don't really exist, 'cause people are projecting onta him.

Or he can't see 'em himself, 'cause the thug has a small beef with the kid's parents for the way they treated his wife but can't speak for sure about how they treated her brother."

*siiighs* Yeah... I guess in context of this... there were a lot of problems there. And... maybe the kid of this story. Maybe he never really knew her.

Maybe ya should finish your homework up and flag her down and we can talk about this."

"I mean, the kid's... got a chance when he thinks he's ready ta talk ta her and that his brother-in-law's got his back."

"Like... We were talking about having you and your pops come and visit us, so I can show the place off ta him and I can get ta know my in-laws, since she... deals with hers.

This is... steps at a time, yeah? Get ta know her now, and I'll push for having that visit. Me. I'll write a letter."
